Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci, (born November 12th, 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu-Dej (now Onesti] Romania) Romanian gymnast who was the first gymnast in history to get a flawless score of 10 in an Olympic event. Comaneci was first discovered by Bela Karolyi, later to be the Romanian gymnastics coach at the time she was only six years old. Comaneci participated for the first time in the 1969 national junior championships and finished 13th. Following that, she became champion. In 1972, in the communist nations' meet for junior athletes before the Olympics she took home 3 gold and silver medals. Then in 1973 and 1974 she won the overall junior champion. When she made her debut as a Senior in the year 1975, she defeated Russian Lyudmila Turkishcheva. She was the five-time European champion, winning four gold medals and one silver. She won the American Cup in New York City in 1976 becoming the first woman to perform the backward double salto in a dismount from the uneven parallel bars. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. The journey of Carol Wayne into the realm of entertainment started when she was a teenager. Together with her sister Nina Wayne, she joined the traveling entertainment show called Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne is a United States citizen, born on the 6th of September, 1942, in Chicago, Illinois. Carol entered the entertainment industry as a teenager. When she was a child she was a figure skating performer with Nina Wayne in the travelling entertainment program Ice Capades. These shows included the ice skating of which was accompanied by theatrical music.
