Audrey Tautou
Audrey Tautou, the oldest of four children, was born on August 8, 1976 in Beaumont Puy-de-Domme. Her parents encouraged her parents, a dentist, and a teacher who were both teachers to follow her love of the theatre. It was in stark contrast with her previous desire to pursue a career as a primateologist since she adored monkeys. It was a quick rise for her to become an internationally renowned young actor. When she first began an acting career she was a participant in Jeunes Premiers a French show on TV that focuses on talent which was a part of Canal+ in 1998. The program also awarded her the title of Best Young Actress in her performance in the Beziers Festival of Young Actors. While she attended The Institut Catholique de Paris and was a member of the church during her childhood, Tautou is now averse to the Catholic tradition, saying that she is not officially Catholic. In addition to her acting career she started a modeling career. It is her turn to be the spokesperson for L'Oreal Mont Blanc & Chanel and is often referred to as The Chanel Muse. Photographing is also a obsession and she was recently shown her work at the Arles festival with the name Superficial. She focuses her photography on celebrities, fame and the media that scrutinised her after her fame-making debut with Amelie. There are also several photographs that show herself. Audrey Tautou's debut part, playing Amelie Poulain's leading actor in the film Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie, landed her fame to the world. Amelie was an international box-office film that received acclaim at award ceremonies around the world. Amelie was the highest-rated french-language film to hit the US. Later, in the same year, she starred in British dramas including Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things as well as Jean-Pierre Junet's Un long Sunday de Faancailles. After that, Tautou went to Hollywood where Ron Howard directed the Dan Brown bestseller The Da Vinci Code.
